Snake Game is one of those arcade games with simple, very addictive gameplay. You control a snake that is always moving around the screen, looking for food to eat to make it longer and boost your score. Each time you eat a food item the snake gets longer thus having less room to go around.
The controls are rather comfortable at first, the snake is small and has lots of room to turn around. But the more you eat, the longer the back section of the body gets and the higher the risk of smashing into yourself. One badly-calculated turn can finish a whole round.
Exploring the Snake Game
Snake Game is fun since it has simple rules but evident challenge. You will need to watch for the next food item, but also plan your path after eating. If you run directly to the food, not paying attention to the escape path, you can easily get caught between the segments of the snake’s body.
How to play the Snake Game?
Leading the Snake
You can change direction with the arrow keys or WASD on computer. On a phone it’s commonly controlled using on screen navigation buttons or swiping.
Eat to become bigger
Move the snake head to the position of the food on the map. Every time you feed the snake correctly it grows longer and your score increases. As the body gets bigger it gets harder to control its movements.
Don't hit anything
Depending on the edition, you might have to dodge walls, objects, and notably your own body. This is why it's hard to take long turns.
