How to play the Wormax.io game?
Unique Active Skill Set
Unlike most games in the genre, Wormax.io equips you with three key active abilities.
Use the Left Mouse Button/ Press Q Key: Burn off a portion of your body length to instantly double your movement speed.
It is a double-edged sword: use it to cut off enemies or escape, but overusing it will cause you to shrink rapidly.
Press W Key: Instantly freeze your snake’s movement in place for up to 5 seconds! It doesn’t mess with the pathways of surrounding opponents. If an enemy tries to cut you off, this sudden stop can cause them to crash right into your body.
Press E Key: Turn your entire body invisible and transparent for a few seconds. During this time, you are immune to all collisions, allowing you to pass freely through the bodies of giant snakes and break out of suffocating encirclements.
Instant Power-ups & Evolutionary Artifacts
Apart from consuming glowing energy particles in order to increase its size, the Wormax.io map is littered with runes that give temporary tactical benefits.
Telescope Power-up: Increases the range of your camera, allowing you to see threats in the distance before they appear on your monitor.
Magnet Charm: Pulls in energy particles and remains from proximity to your mouth so you don't have to get really next to them.
Poison Charm: Turns the biomass shed from your body into a toxic substance; any opponent who accidentally consumes it loses mass instead of growing.
Mass Conservation Charm: Allows you to activate speed-boosting skills without sacrificing body length.
Outside of matches, the Artifact system in the encyclopedia lets players equip and socket gems to permanently boost base stats.
These upgrades can extend the duration of power-ups, increase base movement speed, or reduce mass loss when using skills.
Combat Tactics for the Hunter to beat Wormax.io
The Brake Trap
When a rival is tailing you closely and preparing to cut you off, don't try to outrun them. Hold your course and press the 'W' key; the pursuer's momentum will cause them to crash right into your stationary body.
The Ghost Dash Escape
If a giant snake has coiled around you, don't panic and wait for the end. Press the 'E' key at the moment the coil is tightest to dash straight through the opponent's body to safety, turning the encircling snake into a target for a counterattack.
Remnant Scavenging Tactic
Combine the Magnet Charm with the Ghost ability to dive into the heart of collisions between large opponents. Quickly gather all the accumulated points and retreat safely before the chaos settles.
